Miss Florida graces Chamber of Commerce anniversary

ST. PETE BEACH — The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce held its second annual anniversary and open house on Friday, Aug. 1, complete with food, prizes and interaction with the community. Business-to-Business Committee Chairman Kathleen McDole and Chamber member Larry Granucci organized the event and received plenty of assistance. They called on other members “to pitch in and help,” spent months planning and promoting, and “prayed for no rain,” says McDole.

Gulf Beaches Kiwanis nurtures child’s charitable endeavor
MADEIRA BEACH — The Florida Kiwanis Club of the Gulf Beaches brought Alex’s Lemonade Stand (Foundation), a national fundraiser for pediatric cancer, to John’s Pass Aug. 2. This is the fourth consecutive year the Kiwanis sponsored the event. To date, the Kiwanis raised more than $4000 for the charity.
